Company Overview

Soligie, founded in September of 2006, is the leading company to utilize printing techniques to manufacture products with integrated, printed electronics in a thin, flexible form-factor.Soligie's proprietary techniques enable the development of reliable, custom solutions using a full range of functional inks and specialized substrates.Soligie is now in production with products that utilize nano-particle and conventional inks. Soligie is also investing in the development of processes for printed thin-film transistors that can be used in products such as smart labels and chipless RFID tags.Soligie is owned by the Taylor Corporation.

Challenge

Soligie was a newly founded company using a newly developed technology. It had no brand, no web site, and no sales collateral to give to potential customers, partners, or employees. The company knew that in order to attract customers, build relationships, and establish credibility, it needed an identity in the marketplace.

Solution

Soligie chose James Tower's creative team to develop both a brand, including the company's value statements and messaging, and a visual identity, including Soligie's logo and design standards. James Tower designed Soligie's name, logo, color palette, tagline, and Web site. James Tower worked with Soligie to create a brand and visual identity based on how it wanted to be positioned and remembered in the marketplace. James Tower conducted a photo shoot to provide Soligie with a library of photographs to use in the future, whether for use on its web site or in company communications. Because Soligie's services revolve around a newly developed and innovative process for printing, James Tower created a web site that allows prospective Soligie customers and partners to gather and gain interest about the company without giving away the secrets of their technology.

Results

James Tower provided Soligie with a foundation from which to build its business. With an effective web site and engaging collateral completed, Soligie is able to generate revenue and grow their business, increasing the company's credibility among potential customers and others in their industry.
