Business Analyst

The overall responsibilities of this position include defining various functional requirements, conducting detailed analysis, and acting as a liaison between the business project sponsors and our customers in a consultative manner.  In this role, you will act as a liaison to both James Tower’s product and development teams to: lead efforts to define and share technical solutions while being innovating and maintain JT’s commitment to excellence, partner with our customers to provide project leadership, application specific subject matter expertise, and technical insight and impact assessments as they relate to our customer’s online presence.  This position will take ownership for defining technology-related issues and act as a key point of contact for ongoing initiatives, and coordinate with the Project Manager and our technical staff to provide seamless service to our customers.

Qualifications include extensive experience in writing Functional Requirements and knowledge of various development methodologies, including agile and waterfall, and experience with content management systems.  Candidates must have a track record of success in helping solve significant technology-related business problems in a complex web environment.  Experience developing collaborative relationships and partnerships with the business and technology departments that drive business results.   2+ years experience in web-based system analysis is preferred.  Demonstrated self-direction and strong business relationship skills, strong client service experience, and excellent communication and influencing skills required.  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required, Master’s degree preferred.
